The Senior Release Manager (DevOps) will lead end-to-end software release planning, coordination, and production deployments for the organization. This hybrid role in Jersey City, NJ, requires extensive experience in release management, AWS, Jenkins, and Groovy scripting, along with strong stakeholder communication skills.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end software release planning, coordination, and production deployments
- Coordinate across Engineering, QA, DevOps/SRE, Product, and Infrastructure teams
- Manage release schedules, dependencies, risks, blockers, and Go/No-Go activities
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Jenkins CI/CD pipelines using Groovy
- Support application deployments and release activities across AWS environments
- Drive deployment automation and continuous improvement of release processes
- Coordinate hotfixes, rollback activities, and post-release validation
- Provide release status and risk updates to technical and business stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll bring
- Experience Required: 10+ years
- 7–10 years of Release Management / DevOps experience
- Strong Release Management and CI/CD experience
- Hands-on Jenkins experience
- Strong Groovy scripting skills
- Experience creating and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of AWS and cloud deployments
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills
